There is a word
called “Ease”.

This word slips from our lips like a delicious cookie, a snore on a picnic blue sky day.

We have known Little Parcels of this.  How?

Often brought about by Illegal Substances, unexpected Lottery Prizes, rewards of childrens’ report cards, corporate promotions, costly Back Massages.

We Humans.

We have such a plethora of Internal Channels.  Talk about “multi-tasking”.  More like “multi-TaskMastering”.   The inner voices.  The “shoulds”. The “must-do’s”.  The Priorities.  The ASAP’s.  The Potential and Substantive Worries.  The List of Things Likely To Go Wrong.

The carefully placed relationships with friends who depend on you.  Or your money.  Or your refrigerator.  With business associates who depend on your Matching Tie & Sports Coat.  Your stuffed and bulging Portfolio.   The plaque on your wall, yellowing in its corners.  The answering of emails, voicemails, wails, pails, ales.   The tricky managing of relatives who call at the wrong times, who live too close, too far, or who live at all, period.

“What Stress?”

Life is like a Battlefield for many.   And the cost of living rises.  Never falls.  The cost of passing time.  The cost of failing health.  The cost of aging and wrinkling and passing years.  The cost of dying friends and lovers.  The cost of cracks in the wall that no duct-tape will repair, cracks in the facade of Me, cracks in my Eternal Youth, my Infernal Optimism, my Heroic Calm, my Battle Consistently Won.

People live like this.

They trust their cars.  They fondle their paychecks.  They “manage” the financial, corporate, domestic and romantic bubbles they have built.  Bubbles that shine in their glorious ascent into the sun.  Bubbles that sing rainbows in their gleaming and ephemeral lives.  Bubbles that burst, unceremoniously, unprovoked, unannounced … in legions.

What is the sound of a legion of brilliant bubbles bursting?

The sound of life.

And amidst the birthing and bursting of a million tiny bubbles, there is a foundation and core and heartbeat that keeps life, simply, Moving Along.

And what is the sound of this heartbeat?

What is the sound of that song inside you?

This is the only sound, the only song, the only foundation worth knowing in life.

It is sweet, solid, loving, substantial, kind, and persevering.   It is hope, warmth, courage, growth, fulfillment and longing.  It is belief, desire and satisfaction.  All rolled into one.

The only other song playing is the sound of a million bubbles bursting.

Disconcerting?

Then, find the True Concert, and listen.

With all your heart.
