The Great Mystery

thirst 2Here is the great mystery:
My thirst is quenched
as much by my longing
to have it quenched
as it is by the waters that come.
Tell me, oh digger of the well,
which do I drink first?

There Is No Door

I could tell you that my Master
is the one who opened the door,
but that would be a lie.
There never was a door,
I was never on the other side.
We were always in this together, he and I.

If you call the realization of this Oneness,
the opening of a door,
then I guess we have the beginning of a very long poem here,
but since I’m in a really good mood today,
I’ll save you the trouble of hacking your way
through a love drunk’s excess of metaphors.
There is no door! Never was, never will be.
The knocking you hear
is only the sound of your own heart beating.

The One for whom it beats has always been with you,
so what’s all this monkey business about a door?

In Defense of a King

Established Warrior of LordsWarrior man, do not despair,
you are not involved in a game of solitaire

It is the strength of your heart which pulls tight your bow,
it takes the fires of love to defeat your foe

Available to you, is the power behind every breath,
an ultimate tool, which determines even life and death

You will not be defeated, if you understand these words,
It is the ocean, not the drop, whose power conquers …

Once long ago, before the stories of the great round table, there were kings. To wear the crown of king was a thing of consequence, and there were only a few true kings. A true king is a master, in touch with the mysteries of life and sworn to obey only the highest laws of light. This is what makes a man a king.

Thank you my heartfelt Reminder

This basic awareness,
this heartfelt feeling,
from which everything starts
and everything ends
in which there is no name,
except maybe that one;
“i am who i am”,
so easy to feel,
as a breath itself
to pick up with it
all inner gifts of peace,
to pick up with it
all the love
that is between
this breath and lungs
and accept them in consciousness
yet for some so hard to understand

Thank goodness
i have you
my dear heartfelt Reminder. :)

Happy for No Reason

When I was 21, I came within five seconds of drowning in the ocean. As I was going down for the third time, I looked to the shore and realized that this — my last moment — was the most lucid moment of my life. Everything else was a cartoon. Unreal. Fake. In the state I was in, only one thing was certain. I wanted to live.waves are upon us

And in that moment, which felt like my last, something extraordinary took over — way beyond my exhaustion — and got me to the shore. It swam me, until I — completely out of breath — could finally stand. And when I did, I fell to my knees and kissed the ground. I cried. I laughed. I sang whatever children’s songs I could remember. In that moment of pure exaltation, I had no philosophy, no religion, no politics, no family, no friends, no future, no past.

Only the simple joy of being alive.

Meeting his eyes

As long as you understand

who is backing up whom

and who is backing up what

everything is more and more right

you become more and more kind

to that sweet peace in your heart

you become more and more thankful

humble to that sweet inner love

and then you again and again understand

why you so long to meet his eyes

why you so need

that heart’s mirroring touch :)
