Step right up and buy some peace !

Ok….this morning I was sent an email advertisement which wanted me to step right up and buy some peace of mind. And I thought to myself, ” This is peace of mind? hmmmm…. say what?”

Am I the only one who missed it? Did you know that peace of mind can be shopped for, bought at the local super market, shopping mall, or the drug store ?

Maybe it comes in capsule form and I just didn’t see it. Was it in that wine bottle, or maybe down the cereal aisle? If it was, I didn’t feel it.

And what do you suppose it costs? A few quarters………one dollar…. ten?  Can anybody afford it, or is it only for the elite, the wealthy? Does it work instantly or is it time- released ?  Is it for real or are you ripping me off?

A Living Album

The other day, as I was out to “buy” something, I realized that for me, things are much less valuable than experiences. My “things” have a habit of wearing out… my experiences, not so much.

I hold all of my experiences tucked inside of me, and I pull them out like a treasured photo album… ah, but here the analogy ends, for this particular photo album is alive.

The photos have not faded, the corners are not bent, each unfolds again and again as I pull it out. The faces have not dimmed over time. None have turned to black and white. They are filled with bright colors, with the lessons and learnings, the emotions and the wonders of all that I am capable of feeling.

What a great camera, what a great camcorder, I hold the magic button to. Press… LIVE !! Press I AM ALIVE, press I FEEL, press and I THRIVE.

An Adventure

There is an adventure, greater than any other, which takes no plane, no ship, and requires no ticket to enter.

There is a place, my friends, to fly with no wings, to rest without sleeping and to journey without walking. Having only one requirement, which is to enjoy, I ask you, “Do you remember having the heart of a child?”

Do you remember the delight of a swing as we strove to pump ourselves higher and higher, jumping through the air and laughing with glee to fly weightless and free for only one brief second?
