A Small Song of Today
In a world where no one knows each other
and few know the ‘self’
where do we go for knowledge
when the college

Happy for No Reason
When I was 21, I came within five seconds of drowning in the ocean. As I was going down for the third time, I looked to the shore and realized that this — my last moment — was the most lucid moment of my life. Everything else was a cartoon. Unreal. Fake. In the state I was in, only one thing was certain. I wanted to live.
And in that moment, which felt like my last, something extraordinary took over — way beyond my exhaustion — and got me to the shore. It swam me, until I — completely out of breath — could finally stand. And when I did, I fell to my knees and kissed the ground. I cried. I laughed. I sang whatever children’s songs I could remember. In that moment of pure exaltation, I had no philosophy, no religion, no politics, no family, no friends, no future, no past.

Once upon a time, in the ancient city of Calcutta there lived two men. These men had never formally met, but saw each other on the street almost everyday. One was a very rich man named Ababa. The other was a beggar named Saoel. The rich man was dressed in the finest silk and his cloak was embroidered with the finest gold thread. The beggar wore only rags and his feet were calloused and tough from having walked many miles with no shoes. On the face of Ababa were lines of worry and stress mixed with the look of importance and prominence. On the face of Saoel there was a look of innocence and joy.
Personal Trademark
I love the twists and turns of my life. It’s my personal trademark that declares who I am and my place in the universe. Its peaks are white and bare: a window to this strange and wonderful world. Its valleys are fragrantly scented and echos the melodies of times gone by. Each curve in the road along the way, marks my journey. It meanders onto unexplored seashores, revealing itself in a very small blue transparent chipped pieice of glass, or in a teenage eagle feather resting peacefully on the sand. Life is what I am.

As long as you understand
who is backing up whom
and who is backing up what
everything is more and more right
you become more and more kind
to that sweet peace in your heart
you become more and more thankful
humble to that sweet inner love
and then you again and again understand
why you so long to meet his eyes
why you so need
that heart’s mirroring touch :)
